I’m Emily, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and integrative health and wellness practitioner with over 9 years of experience. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals across multiple settings. I began my career in skilled nursing facilities, traveled to hospitals, went into the workers injury world and spent a lot of time with prehab/post op care and in home health.
I have witnessed firsthand the different paths people take as they age. Some live vibrantly into their 90s even into their 100s, staying active and independent with minimal health concerns, while others experience a rapid decline in their 40s or 50s, facing multiple medical diagnoses, pain, and limitations.
Witnessing first hand this stark contrast in aging outcomes drove me to ask an important question: What truly sets someone up for vitality and longevity as they age? What can we do in our late 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond to ensure we continue to thrive instead of just survive?
After years of helping people move through mobility issues, recovery and beyond, it became clear to me that aging doesn’t have to mean a decline in quality of life. The way we take care of ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally in our 30s, 40s, and 50s has a direct impact on how we age. This is why I’ve dedicated myself to helping adults in these stages of life live better, stronger, and more confidently, while preventing injury, optimizing performance, and improving recovery.
I blend traditional physical therapy with holistic methods to offer a “whole-istic” approach to wellness. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I use hands-on techniques like myofascial release, mobilization, cupping, and IASTM, as well as corrective exercise, to treat physical pain, injury, and performance issues. In addition, I incorporate advanced recovery modalities such as compression boots and red light therapy to enhance recovery and optimize performance.
I noticed those that felt the best, recovered the best, and were thriving longer ALSO had a huge difference in mindset compared to their counterparts which led me to make sure that in my practice, I go beyond just the physical—integrating mindfulness practices like breath work, nervous system regulation, and guided meditation to address deeper layers of well-being. This combined approach ensures that you heal not just in body, but in mind and spirit as well.
Through this integrated approach, I guide you through a more comprehensive approach to your health. I believe in the importance of building an authentic, trust-based relationship with each client, so we can uncover the true sources of discomfort or resistance that may be holding you back. Building a deep and transformative relationship with each of my clients is one of the things that truly sets me apart and allows me to empower you to achieve lasting wellness.
